Adventure and serve with us this spring…
For over fifteen years, adults from St. Pat’s have been traveling to Guatemala to serve the communities of Coban, to lend helping hands to our brothers and sisters, and to better understand our place in the world as well as our Global Church.
This spring, St. Pat's is partnering with Edina Rotarians to travel to Coban Guatemala to deliver water filters and experience the beauty of the country and grow in communion with our friends at Resurrection Priory. This is a 7 day service trip. The first 4 days of the trip will be spent in Coban Guatemala. Activities in Coban include travel to remote mountain villages (called aldeas) to distribute water filters, opportunities to celebrate Mass and prayer at the monastery and in aldeas, and other cultural experiences in Coban (Cathedral tour, coffee plantation, hike to water falls, visit a local hospital, shopping in authentic Guatemalan markets, etc.) The last few days of the trip are spent in Antigua, Guatemala, a beautiful tourist town with additional opportunities to learn about and experience the Guatemalan culture.
