ST. PAT’S SR. HIGH MISSION TRIP!!
THIS TRIP IS FULL! CONTACT JACLYN TO BE PUT ON WAIT LIST
This July we’re headed to Columbia, Mississippi for our Sr. High Mission Trip!! This trip is a highlight of our ministry at St. Pats! It’s a lot of hard work and even more fun. We spend our days working and serving in the community and spend our evening praying and playing.
"Whoever loses their life for my sake will find it." Mt 10:39
“We’ll experience the spirit of the Deep South through learning how one rural community in Mississippi is reinventing itself economically, socially and spiritually. In partnership with local churches, we will serve children who need a safe place to go during the summer. We’ll also help existing organizations and vulnerable populations through painting, minor home repair projects and other service. We will also experience a taste of Mississippi during the evenings by hearing from local leaders, attending a church service and helping host a community cookout.” – YouthWorks.

Hello Sr. High Families,
There are a couple changes to programming this year so please read carefully.
I have taken over the Sr. High and Young Adult Program here at St. Pat’s (including Confirmation.)
Jimmy Barnett will be taking over for K-8 ministry.
Compass moved to WEDNESDAYS this year in an effort to make it more accessible to students. If you have questions about any of the programs please let us know.
COMPASS: WEDNESDAYS, 7:45-9:00 pm
Speakers, small groups, and good good times!! Compass nights will rotate between small group nights, speakers, and large group activities (broomball, bonfires, scavenger hunts, dinner nights, service projects, etc.) All students in grades 10, 11, & 12 are welcome! Friends are placed in small groups together and small groups are led by our dynamic young adult leadership team. Compass is St. Pat’s main senior high program. If you can only be involved in one program – we STRONGLY encourage you join Compass.
NAVIGATORS: Four Wednesdays during the year, 6:00-7:30 pm (ONLY 11&12)
St. Pat's senior high Navigator leaders help provide an exciting, large group and relational based middle school faith formation program to our middle school students. Navigator nights will take place four times during the year *specific dates listed below. On these nights, the entire session will be led by high school students to bring fun, engaging faith messages and themes to middle school students. Navigator leaders are also encouraged to help plan Navigator Nights. Optional planning nights will take place the week before each Nav night.
Navigator Dates: Oct 24, Dec 5, Feb 13, Mar 27
Middle School Teachers: Wednesdays 6:15-7:30 pm (ONLY 11&12)
St. Pat's is in need of committed, faith filled high school students to help teach 6th-8th grade faith formation classes. Small group leaders meet EVERY WEDNESDAY to help younger students grow in faith. Class lessons include worksheets, prayer activities, reading scripture and discussing faith. Small group leaders need to be responsible, faithful, and have a genuine desire to walk with middle school students and help them grow in faith. Contact Jimmy Barnett for more information (email@example.com)
Elementary Teachers: Wednesdays 4:45-6:00 pm
St. Pat's is in need of energetic, faith filled high school students to help teach Kindergarten-5th grade faith formation classes. Come share your love of Christ and the Church with this fun-loving age group. Students are welcome to teach with a friend and accommodations can be made for students who are in high school sports. Please consider helping with this life-giving ministry. Contact Jimmy Barnett for more information (firstname.lastname@example.org)
High school students are strongly encouraged to volunteer in one of the following Mass ministries. Training provided. Volunteers are scheduled approx. once a month and can pick preferred Mass times. This is a wonderful way to become more involved at Mass.
• Lector at Mass (reader)
• Usher at Mass (greet, pass collection baskets, distribute bulletins after Mass)
• Eucharistic Minister (distribute communion)
