This will be an on-going theme this year! We will be inviting you to, “Do Good!” by getting involved with projects in Social Justice. You may be looking for something that requires only a small amount of time that you can arrange at your convenience. You may have flexibility and want to, “dig in.” Perhaps you are looking for a way to energize your faith. It doesn't matter where you are on the spectrum; there is lots of good work to do!
You may feel called to engage in Advocacy work, transforming the political landscape. Perhaps you have a passion for helping neighbors struggling with hunger by working on one of our food drives for VEAP or Caring & Sharing Hands! Maybe you long for the open road and would like to become a driver in our Food Ministry or Meals on Wheels Ministry!
We will continue to pathways out of poverty at Risen Christ School in Minneapolis. You can tutor, help with the library, or help with administrative tasks. They also need bilingual translators for conferences! Did we mention that we love babies too? We continue supporting women in crisis pregnancies!
You may be thinking education is more your style. We will have an exciting Fall Forum Speaker Series co-sponsored with Pastoral Ministries. There are lots of ways that you can help our community deepen its understanding of important issues including Youth Affordable Housing, Affordable Senior Housing and Medicare!
Does glitz speak to your personality? Then the Gala for Brighter Tomorrows might be the perfect fit! December 6 will be our 30th Annual Gala! We will need lots of volunteers to make the, “magic” happen!
If you long for connection with the global church… Consider getting involved with the Coban Water Project. Our friendship with Resurrection Monastery in Coban has spanned over a decade and brought life giving water units to the people living in the villages surrounding Coban. Many people have experienced the joy of pilgrimages to Guatemala!
We invite you to join the expansive work of God and share your talent with the ministries of Saint Patrick’s! If you have already jumped in, thank you! We can’t do it without you! If you have been waiting for a, “good time”… there is no time like the present!
