My Story - Jackie Davidson, Leader & Parishioner
Hi! I’m Jackie Davidson. I have been praying in a Moms In Prayer group for over 30 years. I was invited (over and over) by my daughter’s Daisy Scout troop leaders. They kept telling me I would love it, but I wasn’t so sure. I didn’t know what praying scripturally was. I’d never heard of praying in one accord. It took me awhile to go to attend a meeting and my attendance was sporadic at first. At some point I began hosting the meetings.
In 2002 I began leading a group and have been leading a group ever since. I currently lead a College / Career Group. There just was never a time to stop praying for my kids! My oldest is in his 40s and the other 2 are in their 30s! I have seen the value of covering my children and their, at this point, work places in prayer, for my children and for myself.
When grandchildren came along, it was a natural next step to start a Grandmas in Prayer group. In our group we have everything from newborns to young adults that we are praying for. We meet during the school year on Mondays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at St. Patrick’s.Please contact me if I can answer any questions or provide more information or if you’d like to join us!
