Mission Statement

All adult men who are members of The Church of Saint Patrick in Edina, Minnesota are automatically members of the Men's Club.

The Mission of the Men's Club is to unite the men of the parish to promote spiritual, service, and fellowship activities and contribute to the charitable work of the parish.

Parish Lenten Fish Dinner

  • The Men's Club is hosting our annual Lenten fish dinner on Friday, March 6, from 6:00 -7:30 PM. Mens Club volunteers are needed to make this event happen. Please use the sign-up genius to volunteer for specific duties.

 

St. Helena's Mens Breakfast

  • A Mens Breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 8:30 A.M.at St. Helena Catholic Church in Minneapolis -3204 E. 43rdStreet, Minneapolis, MN 55406. Speaker is Deacon Dan Gannon, who will speak on Now and at the Hour of our Death: How to Attain Union with God and Get to Heaven. Deacon Gannon is the Director of the Institute for Ongoing Clergy Formation at The St. Paul Seminary. The cost of the breakfast is $10. Complimentary tickets are available for those having difficulty in paying. Participants are also invited to attend the 8:00 A.M.Mass in church before the breakfast. Registrations should be made before 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 27, by calling 612-729-7321.

 

Adoration at the Capitol

  • First Fridays (March 6, April 10, May 1) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Minnesota State Capitol, Vault Room B15, St. Paul. More info/register HERE. Join the Minnesota Catholic Conference and Archbishop Hebda, Bishop Izen and Bishop Izen for Eucharistic Adoration at the State Capitol. This is a powerful opportunity to unite in prayer for our elected officials, for the passage of laws that promote the dignity of life, and for the common good of all Minnesotans. Through the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, we will intercede for our state seeking peace and justice, hope and healing. Whether you can attend once or every month, your prayer makes a difference.

 

Archdiocesan Mens Conference

  • Saturday, March 21, 8:00 AM 12:30 PM(doors open7:00 AM). Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hastings, MN. This retreat for men in the Archdiocese will begin with Mass at 8:00am with Archbishop Bernard Hebda and Bishop Kevin Kenney. The conference and holy hour will feature speaker Doug Barry, founder and director of the Catholic ministry RADIX, equipping men with practical, battle-tested tools for living the Catholic faith with courage. Lecture: Do Not Be Afraid to Be Saints: The Pastoral Vision of St. John Paul II | Archbishop John Ireland Lecture with Bishop Andrew Cozzens

  • April 14, 6:30-7:30 PM. OShaughnessy Education Center Auditorium - 2115 Summit Ave, St. Paul,MN55105. Bishop Cozzens of the Diocese of Crookston will speak about Saint John Paul IIs pastoral strategy to hold up holiness and convince us of the greatness of human life and the healing that our world needs for mercy through exposure to the Divine Mercy. Demontreville Jesuit Retreats Lake Elmo, MN

  • Demontreville Jesuit Retreat Centeris completing a $10 million renovation of all its guest houses. Last year 2,800 men completed a weekend retreat, including 412 first-time retreatants. These weekend retreats offer a time for quiet reflection, prayer, spiritual renewal, and consideration of how the Lord may be calling you. A Jesuit priest guides the group using the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Contact Jim Lucas or Terry Kapsen for more information about participating in a weekend retreat.
